President, Government Relations

From 2011 through 2017, Dr. Heck represented Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives. During that time, he served on the Armed Services Committee, where he chaired the subcommittee on Military Personnel; the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, where he was chair of the subcommittee on Defense Intelligence and Overhead Architecture; and the Education and Workforce Committee.

Dr. Heck previously served in the Nevada State Senate from 2005 to 2009, where he was Vice Chair of the Transportation and Homeland Security Committee, and a member of the committees on Commerce & Labor, Natural Resources, and Human Resources & Education.

Prior to serving in elected office, he worked as a healthcare provider, educator, and administrator. Dr. Heck was the President of Specialized Medical Operations, Inc.

An active member of the United States Army Reserve with the rank of Brigadier General, Dr. Heck is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College with a Master of Strategic Studies.
