Political Consulting

With 90 years of combined political experience, RedRock Strategies offers a rarely found combination of veteran political strategists and operatives who are familiar with traditional campaign tactics and the new age of digital campaigns.  RedRock Strategies’ unique team allows us to offer the most innovative strategies for voter contact and persuasion while still maintaining the discipline and precision required to win elections.  Under the guidance and vision of founder Ryan Erwin, the RedRock Strategies team has worked in 40 states, elected more than two dozen people to the United States Congress or Statewide office, and has been victorious in hundreds of down-ballot contests.

Public Affairs

RedRock Strategies clients have ranged from Fortune 500 companies, to the National Chamber of Commerce, and Victim’s Rights Advocacy organizations.  We have a history of successfully advancing our clients’ causes in the media and the court of public opinion.  RedRock Strategies oversees every element of a public affairs campaign… from getting our client’s cause covered by the press to grass-tops campaigns designed to influence legislators and government agencies.

Corporate Affairs

Using our vast experience in influencing public opinion, RedRock Strategies brings the same tenacity, creativity and discipline to our corporate clients that we have used to win political races around the country.  RedRock Strategies can design and coordinate advertising, media strategy, and government relations in all parts of the country.  RedRock Strategies has done everything from defeating corporate mergers to implementing effective national government-relations plans.

Government Relations

The team at RedRock Government Relations provides insightful and innovative strategic guidance to help our clients achieve their public policy goals. Well-versed in nearly every aspect of public policy, our core strengths are in healthcare, defense and homeland security, education, gaming, and travel and tourism. At RedRock Government Relations, we are committed to meeting the specific needs of each client through the pursuit of legislation, advocacy, and regulatory results.

Dana Walch, CEO of RedRock Strategies is the former President of SBR Strategy Group, a Midwest-based polling and research firm.  Walch now oversees RedRock Strategies’ polling and research division.  We have conducted surveys for candidates and groups at the state and local level in all parts of the country.  We can conduct surveys that will not only get you the information you need to win, but at a cost far less than it would be with many other firms.

RedRock Strategies takes a simple approach to digital strategy… if it doesn’t win votes or raise money… then don’t do it.  RedRock Strategies opened its own digital division with the goal of bringing as much discipline to digital advertising as we do in every other element of a political campaign. RedRock Strategies currently manages national and statewide digital campaigns from coast to coast.

RedRock Strategies is in business to help our clients succeed.

Together, we bring more than nine decades of experience helping candidates, businesses and organizations get from where they are to where they want to be. Our team has been successful in public affairs and political campaigns at all levels because we understand your mission and share your goals. What sets us apart is that we also have the vision, discipline and experience necessary to focus your limited resources on the things that matter most.

Perhaps no team in the country is similarly battle-tested, having won some of the toughest political, public affairs and issue battles in every part of the country. We have held leadership positions on political campaigns at all levels from successful Presidential and United States Senate races to winning campaigns for Congress and a host of Statewide, Legislative and Local races. RedRock Strategies is proud to represent some of the finest elected officials and candidates in the country.

Recently, we were proud to help pass Constitutional Amendments in Illinois, Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota for Marsy’s Law for All.  These amendments will now provide Constitutional rights to crime victims in these states.  We will continue our efforts to bring Constitutional rights to crime victims all across the country.

We passed one of only two successful medical liability ballot initiatives in the country. While other states saw similar measures fail, we passed Question 3 in Nevada with nearly sixty percent of the vote. And we have consistently advanced public affairs campaigns, from putting a stop to marijuana initiatives and property rights encroachment matters, to helping hospitals and first responders.

From fighting tax increases to promoting or opposing corporate mergers, our company has been in the trenches advocating for our clients – and our success speaks for itself.

Recently, RedRock Strategies successfully opposed both specific and generic tax proposals, played a critical role in helping a coalition of healthcare providers build the foundation for in-state medical training, and we consistently defeat trial lawyer-led efforts to increase frivolous lawsuits by weakening liability laws.

We have coordinated successful programs for Fortune 500 companies, introduced a medical liability insurance company to new and diverse markets, developed a national government affairs plan for an emerging healthcare technology company, and applied appropriate grassroots, political and media pressure to advance public policy initiatives.

While we are proud of the work we do for our clients, we are equally proud that we have built our success and our reputation the right way – through hard work, dedication, integrity and an unwavering commitment to be the best at what we do.

Our efforts have received the respect and acclaim of our allies, our opponents and the media.

Ryan Erwin, President and Founder

Since beginning his political career in his native state of Ohio, Ryan Erwin has held leadership positions on political campaigns, public affairs efforts and ballot measures in every region of the country. A unique perspective, hands-on experience and nationally recognized strategy and communication skills have made Ryan one of the most sought-after strategists in America.

A regular teacher of political education, Ryan has lectured and taught at campaign seminars and forums across the country and has worked with up-and-coming leaders to develop fundraising, media, targeting and voter turnout strategies.

In 1999, Ryan took the reins of the Nevada Republican Party and in less than two years took an institution in a near state of crisis, orchestrating a turnaround that made the organization one of the model political party operations in the country. The Nevada effort lead Republican leaders to recruit Ryan to oversee the rebuilding of the largest state party organization in the country – The California Republican Party.

In 2003 Ryan founded a political consulting firm and is currently President of RedRock Strategies, a national public affairs and political consulting firm that proudly represents some of the finest elected officials, candidates, organizations and companies in America.

RedRock Strategies currently represents clients ranging from Fortune 500 corporations to start-up technology companies, elected officials, candidates and community organizations. Ryan and his wife Brandi have two children, Braden and McKenna.

RedRock Strategies put together a highly detailed campaign plan that highlighted my strengths as a candidate and gave me the best chance to win in a very competitive district. They helped me assemble a winning team and helped keep our campaign on track every step of the way.

– Congressman Cresent Hardy

– Campaigns and Elections Magazine

GOP consultant to the rising stars.

The RedRock team is well-connected, disciplined, strategic and accountable. They understand what it takes to make their clients successful and go the extra mile to deliver victory.

– Senator Jim Brulte (R-California, Ret.)

– John Sanchez, New Mexico Lieutenant Governor

Their instincts, experience and track record are unmatched but what really sets RedRock Strategies apart is their dedication to the cause and an unwavering commitment to building success with honesty and integrity that is not always found in politics.

I have been privileged to have won four statewide campaigns in Nevada, and I credit Ryan Erwin’s incredible natural political instincts, his uncanny ability to quickly analyze dynamic situations and his ability to remain focused on the goal of winning as the primary reasons for my sustained political success. Ryan and the RedRock team bring a unique intuitive understanding of the needs of their clients during all phases of a campaign, providing a critical tactical advantage in a process which often measures the immense gap between success and failure by only a handful of percentage points. While Ryan is one of the most decent and loyal individuals Ive encountered throughout all of my professional endeavors, he and his team have also developed a mastery of playing political hardball when necessary. I could not imagine entering into any political contest without Ryan Erwin and RedRock Strategies standing firmly by my side.

– Lieutenant Governor Brian Krolicki (R-Nevada)

– Senator Dino Rossi (R-Washington)

RedRock Strategies understood what we needed. They came in with a detailed campaign plan, provided direction, rolled up their sleeves and delivered an impressive caucus victory.

Without a doubt, RedRock Strategies is the top consultant in the West, offering carefully crafted strategies, extensive knowledge of the community, and an unparalleled record of results. The group was integral in developing and executing a strategy to pass the only successful medical malpractice ballot initiative in the country. I know I can always count on RedRock Strategies to tackle the difficult issues with positive results.
