Dana Walch serves as CEO for RedRock Strategies, where he is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the organization, budgeting, client management, and overseeing RedRock Strategies’ polling and research division.
Prior to joining RedRock Strategies, Walch served as Deputy Director of the Franklin County Board of Elections, managing an annual budget of up to $11,000,000 to conduct elections in Ohio’s second-largest county.
For five years, Walch served as President of SBR Strategy Group, a political and organizational consulting and research firm. Walch also spent over six years at the Ohio Secretary of State’s office where he held many positions; including, Director of Legislative Affairs, Director of Election Reform, and Director of Elections, where he supervised the effort to build a first-ever county board of elections communication system via the internet.
In 2003, Walch gained national recognition for leading Ohio’s $130 million program to purchase new voting equipment to replace its antiquated punch-card voting system. Ohio’s program was regarded as one of the most comprehensive in the nation, using research, logic modeling and negotiation to save taxpayers millions of dollars.
With his unique combination of experience, Walch has consulted on numerous public and private research studies, candidate and issue petition efforts, election challenges, and election-related court cases. He has also been asked to speak on state and national election issues before many organizations.
As an Akron, Ohio native, Walch holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Akron, a Certificate in Applied Politics from the Ray C. Bliss Institute at the University of Akron, and a Certified Election Registration Administrator through The Election Center and Auburn University.
Walch and his wife Amy are the proud parents of three children, Samuel, Benjamin, and Rachel.
